1. What is FKEKK?

FKEKK is an abbreviation for Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektronik dan Kejuruteraan Komputer. FKEKK was established on 1 December 2000 coincided with the establishment of the University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). FKEKK is the first faculty setup in UTeM.

 

2. Where is the campus of FKEKK?

FKEKK operates from UTeM’s Main Campus which is located in the green surroundings of Durian Tunggal, approximately 3 minutes from the Ayer Keroh Toll. The 766 acre Main Campus is  completed with the state-of-the art facilities and infrastructure. FKEKK building can be recognized with its distinctive blue/grey colour buiding, opposite the Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar.

 

3. What is the advantages studying in FKEKK?

FKEKK is a one of the leader in the teaching and learning approach for technical education especially in the field of electronic and computer engineering, which makes it different from the other universities.

 

4.   What types of academic programmes are offered?

FKEKK offers academic programmes at diploma, bachelor, master and PhD levels specialising in industrial electronics, computer engineering and telecommunication engineering.

 

5. How many departments are there at FKEKK?

There are three departments at FKEKK. They comprise of Department of Industrial Electronics, Deparment of Computer Engineering and Department of Telecommunication Engineering.

 

6. What facilities are provided?

FKEKK aims to have a campus conducive to learning and living. Among the facilities provided are modern and fully-equipped laboratories, condusive lecture rooms, spacious seminar hall, dedicated lecture room for collaborative learning and students’ room. Cafeteria and Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar are also within walking distance from the faculty. All the facilities provided are not only in relation to student capacity and needs but also teaching and learning requirements.
